Lekki Toll Gate Massacre

Monday Oct 26, 2020

Monday Oct 26, 2020

It's so sad that we even have to talk about this but October 20, 2020 was the day that peaceful protestors were shot at by Nigerian military personnel. This episode of The Talk Shop is one full of rage and sadness but we have to speak on this issue. This movement demands we hold these clowns accountable and we pray justice is done. We also talk a little bit about the US election and taking our kids for some fun fall activities.

Thanks guys for joining us for another episode of The Talk Shop with Bernie and Chimdi. We were fortunate to talk to Namo The MC but just call him Namo. We talk about how he got into comedy, what the MC business is like with covid-19 still postponing weddings and of course we dig deeper into the #endsars movement and how bad governance and corruption are the foundations upon which bad policing stands on. It's another good one. Enjoy!

END SARS NOW!!

Monday Oct 12, 2020

Monday Oct 12, 2020

We here at The Talk Shop are so proud of our brothers and sisters back home in Nigeria protesting and putting their lives on the line to ensure police brutality is a thing of the past. To do so SARS MUST END and we stand with our people. We get deep into what SARS is, how it's an issue and what next. This episode also delves into the history of Nigeria itself as told in the netflix show Journey of an African Colony: The Making of Nigeria. We detail how the nigerian police force is doing what it was taught to do by the colonial masters. We also ask the question, did we actually benefit from colonialism? This was a deep and emotional episode for us, we hope you enjoy. Please as always like, share and review.

Isn’t it ironic?

Monday Oct 05, 2020

Monday Oct 05, 2020

Isn't it Ironic? There aren't enough words to describe the series of events that have taken place at the first debate and in the days since. Donald Trump, yes Donald Trump has corona virus. We're amazed Joe Biden doesn't have it after all the screaming he had to endure in the debate. We're still asking for justice in the Breonna Taylor case and you know what, justice for Megan Thee Stallion too, especially after the bad Canadian guy dropped his album. It's all in here and we know you'll love it.
